PG Diploma Architecture: Professional practice (RIBA Part 3)

On this Diploma programme, students will acquire an in-depth understanding of the legal and economic aspects of architectural practice and construction procurement, and the related skills necessary to practice effectively on entry into the architectural profession.

The programme is designed to be undertaken whilst in full-time employment within an architectural practice or related construction industry organisation.  It is taught by blended learning methods using the internet, and supplemented by short on-site courses.

It is intended to fulfil the growing need for experts in design management, working within consultancies, or in contracting or specialist contractor firms, or in client bodies.

Construction Law

Construction Law is a vibrant area of law involving a wide range of professionals. The LLM/Postgraduate Diploma programme has been designed to enable lawyers and construction industry professionals to develop a specialised knowledge and understanding of the essential aspects of Construction Law. To facilitate attendance by those in employment, classes are presented during the week in the early evening, with occasional Saturday sessions. Furthermore, the course is under development and may provide a distance learning facility for the 2010/2011 academic year.
